At the forum “Science and Entrepreneurs in the Nation’s Era of Aspiration and Advancement,” held on May 15 in Hanoi, many speakers emphasized that, amid increasingly intense global competition, businesses and science and technology are becoming key pillars of national competitiveness.
The forum was jointly organized by the State Organization and Labor Magazine and the Association for Southeast Asian Studies in Vietnam.

At the event, Vikoda was honored for its outstanding contributions.
One of the highlights of the program was the recognition ceremony honoring outstanding scientists, entrepreneurs, and enterprises in 2026. Among them, Khanh Hoa Mineral Water Joint Stock Company (Vikoda) was recognized as a company that has made notable contributions in technological innovation, brand development, and the promotion of a green economy.
Speaking at the forum, Ms. Nguyen Thi Nga, General Director of Vikoda, stated that Vietnamese women today are playing an increasingly important role in business leadership and the creation of social value.
The female CEO referred to the “Gem Within the Stone” philosophy that the company has embraced for many years. According to her, just as a gemstone must undergo a long process of refinement before it can shine, women in business need perseverance, discipline, and the ability to overcome pressure and challenges.
According to the Vikoda representative, the company’s development is built upon three core values: sustainability, humanity, and discipline. Among these, sustainability serves as the guiding principle underpinning all development strategies.
After more than 36 years of growth, Vikoda continues to uphold its commitment to preserving its natural alkaline mineral water source in Khanh Hoa Province while continuously investing in production technology and enhancing quality control standards.
Beyond product excellence, the company also emphasizes the importance of a people-centered strategy in its development journey. In this view, a business should not only generate profits but also serve as a place that attracts and retains talent, nurtures human development, and contributes positively to society.
