Recently, the Westfood Export Food Processing Joint Stock Company (Westfood) participated in Seoul Food 2023 – South Korea’s largest food industry exhibition. During the 03-day exhibition, Westfood attracted considerable attention from South Korean importers, distributors, and consumers visiting and transacting at their booth.
Seoul Food 2023 is one of the leading food industry exhibitions in Asia, organized annually by the Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency. The event attracts approximately 1,000 businesses to showcase their products at nearly 2,500 booths, welcoming more than 50,000 international visitors from many countries around the world.
Westfood’s booth at Seoul Food 2023 attracted a lot of customer interest
South Korea is currently Vietnam’s third-largest trading partner after China and the United States, with a trade turnover of around $88 billion in 2022. Main Vietnamese export products to South Korea, particularly agricultural and food products, have gained popularity and acceptance among South Korean consumers. Annually, South Korea imports about $40 billion in food products, of which Vietnamese food products exported to South Korea account for only about 5%. Therefore, there is significant market potential in South Korea for Vietnamese businesses.
Big customers are constantly learning about Westfood’s products
At Seoul Food 2023, Westfood’s primary objective is to grasp new trends, market demands, and customer tastes to develop more suitable product lines for the South Korean market.
During the 03-day exhibition, Westfood attracted a large number of customers and major partners to visit. All of Westfood’s products, especially the canned King MD2 pineapple, Lotus seeds, and Mangoes, were highly appreciated by customers for their quality. They expressed a desire to cooperate in supplying these products to supermarket chains and large restaurants in South Korea.
