Following the success of the Vietnam International Sourcing 2023 event series, from June 6 to 8, 2024, the Ministry of Industry and Trade organized the “International Supply Chain Connectivity” event series (Vietnam International Sourcing 2024) at the Saigon Exhibition and Convention Center (SECC). At the exhibition, Western Food Processing and Export Joint Stock Company (Westfood) was one of hundreds of Vietnamese enterprises that impressed and attracted much attention from attendees throughout the event.
The “International Supply Chain Connectivity” event series is an initiative to actively implement the project “Promoting Vietnamese Enterprises to Participate Directly in Foreign Distribution Networks by 2030,” which was approved by the Prime Minister under Decision No. 1415/QD-TTg dated November 14, 2022. The Ministry of Industry and Trade assigned the European – American Market Department to coordinate with relevant agencies and units to organize the event. This event is a great opportunity to connect reputable global distributors and importers with Vietnamese manufacturers and exporters.
Westfood’s booth at the “International Supply Chain Connectivity” Exhibition 2024
This year, the event series gathered 600 Vietnamese enterprises with various activities such as the “International Supply Chain Connectivity” export forum, specialized seminars on agricultural products, food, textiles, and furniture.
The event witnessed the participation of major global distribution corporations such as Aeon, Uniqlo (Japan), Walmart, Amazon, Safeway (USA), Carrefour, Decathlon (France), Falabella (Chile), Coppel (Mexico), Central Group (Thailand), Lotte (Korea), Miniso (China), IKEA (Sweden), and LuLu (UAE).
Speaking at the ceremony, Mr. Nguyen Van Dung – Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People’s Committee shared: “Ho Chi Minh City will focus on organizing and implementing many export promotion activities targeting key markets and new potential markets, supporting domestic enterprises to effectively take advantage of import tax policies from free trade agreements, especially new generation free trade agreements like CPTPP, EVFTA… to expand export markets.”

Among more than 10,000 export-standard products at the exhibition, Westfood’s products were highly appreciated for their quality, making a strong impression on both domestic and international visitors, attracting a large number of interests and welcoming thousands of visitors to the booth throughout the 3-day event.
Vietnam International Sourcing 2024 is a good opportunity for Westfood to approach, meet, and connect with over 200 professional international purchasing channels both directly and online. The conferences and specialized seminars that the Westfood team attended at the exhibition provided effective information on the needs and tastes of consumers in different countries; the requirements and regulations of foreign distribution corporations, thereby laying the groundwork for the Company to develop an effective market strategy for large export markets in Asia, Europe, America, and Africa.
