On April 23, 2022, Westfood Exporting and Processing Joint Stock Company (Westfood) was honored and awarded the title of ASEAN Strong Brands Award 2022. This is the second time Westfood is honored to receive this noble award.
In 2021, despite being heavily affected by the Covid-19 epidemic, Westfood still achieved a revenue of nearly 280 billion VND; pre-tax profit reached nearly 23 billion dong. In 2022 and the following years, Westfood will continue to implement the plan to bring products into the chain of convenience stores and foreign supermarkets in Vietnam such as Aeon or Lotte Mart nationwide with fresh pineapple products and value-added processed products such as canned pineapple, IQF quick frozen pineapple.

Besides investing in machinery and technology, one of Westfood’s other strengths compared to other enterprises in the agricultural export market is its autonomy in raw materials. One of Westfood’s outstanding raw material areas is MD2 pineapple, which has been successfully piloted in Hau Giang with an area of 120 hectares, of which 33 hectares have achieved Global Gap certification. Westfood has set a target for the development plan of MD2 pineapple material area in the period of 2022 – 2030 with a scale of 2,000 hectares, the goal is to reach 1,000 hectares by the end of 2025 and 2,000 hectares by the end of 2027, of which the area of Global Gap standard reaches 50% of the area.
