Western Food Processing Export Joint Stock Company (Westfood) recently participated in a trade promotion program in European countries organized by the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (Ministry of Industry and Trade). This was a major activity under the National Trade Promotion Program 2022, which took place from October 13, 2022 to October 22, 2022.
The program attracted the attention and participation of more than 80 delegates who represent the trade promotion organizations, trade associations, trade promotion organizations, Vietnamese enterprises and European partners in the field of agricultural products, food, food processing technology, etc.
Within the framework of her business trip, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet, President of Westfood attended trade promotion seminars in France, Belgium, the Netherlands and survey activities on the retail market, production and supply chains in such countries.
Mr. Vu Ba Phu – Director of Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency assessed that the effective EVFTA Agreement created favorable conditions for Vietnamese enterprises to promote exports to Europe.
Representative of the delegation of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, Mr. Vu Ba Phu, Director of the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency, said that the implementation of activities to connect the direct business with Europe would create opportunities for businesses of the two parties to meet and discuss about the possibility of business cooperation. Especially, the signing and participation in the EVFTA (EU-Vietnam Free Trade Agreement) has opened many opportunities for trade cooperation and development, for enterprises in Vietnam in general and Westfood in particular, especially in the context that the European economy is recovering from the pandemic, growth comes back and the import of goods increases.

European importers are currently looking for reliable suppliers in strategic areas like Vietnam to supply fruits and vegetables to consumers throughout the year. “This is an advantage for Westfood. Nearly 20 years of operation in the processing and supply of fruit products for export, Westfood’s products so far have been present and loved in many demanding-for-quality countries and continents in the world and Europe can be considered as one of Westfood’s traditional markets. also have a lot of work experience with European partners, therefore, we partly understand the tastes and strict requirements of this market. Along with the system of fresh raw materials, modern technology, focused research and product development, especially the commercial development opportunities brought by the EVFTA, Westfood shall continue to expand the customer network, develop distribution channels and market share in Europe, contributing to the development of commercial relations and trade promotion between the two parties”, Ms. Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet affirmed.
