On the morning of June 18, 2020, Westfood Exporting and Processing Joint Stock Company (Westfood) solemnly celebrated its 19th Anniversary (June 18, 2003 – June 18, 2022) and was grateful to employees in Can Tho City. Entering the 19th year, this year continues to be considered a milestone for Westfood’s growth and strong development.
Westfood, formerly a small production workshop, was born in 1992. After 19 years, overcoming many difficulties and challenges and the persistent efforts of the Board of Management and employees, Westfood has had a remarkable development, increasingly asserting its position as the leading agricultural product processing unit for export in Vietnam. Currently, Westfood products are available and loved in many countries and continents around the world such as: USA, Canada, France, Netherlands, Ireland, Japan, Korea, Australia….
One of the highlights of Westfood in the past 19 years is the successful trial and development of King MD2 pineapple in Vietnam. This is a pineapple with regular fruit, thin skin, large weight of 1.8-2kg, sweet taste, fragrant yellow flesh. Currently, the King MD2 pineapple material area of Westfood in the Mekong Delta province has an area of 120 hectares, of which, Phung Hiep district has the largest area with 90 hectares. Notably, up to 30 hectares of King MD2 pineapple material area meets Global Gap standards.
Besides, winning the title of “Top 10 ASEAN Strong Brands” twice in a row in 2020 and 2022 is a proud achievement for Westfood; This is a testament to the scale and position of enterprises in the field of processing and exporting agricultural products in the international market.

At the company’s anniversary, Westfood also announced the decision to reward and award medals to show gratitude and honor to 57 employees – individuals with long-term working experience, contributing to the development of Westfood during the past 19 years.
