At the request of Cuu Long Pharmaceuticals JSC and Benovas Medical Equipment JSC, on March 10, 2025, the functional departments of the Ministry of Health held a working session to address and resolve the difficulties and challenges faced by the companies.
The meeting was attended by Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam – Deputy Director of the Drug Administration; Mr. Nguyen Tri Dung – Deputy Director of the Health Insurance Department; Mr. Le Thanh Cong – Director of the National Drug Procurement Center; Mr. Hoang Cuong – Deputy Director of the Planning and Finance Department; and Mr. Phan Tien Nghia – National Drug Procurement Center. From Cuu Long Pharmaceuticals and Benovas, the attendees included Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong – CEO of Benovas Pharmaceuticals JSC and Assistant to the Chairman of the Board, managing Cuu Long Pharmaceuticals internally; Mr. Nguyen Ba The – Business Development Director; and Mr. Nguyen Toan Thang – CEO of Benovas Medical Equipment JSC.
This session provided an important opportunity for the leadership and departments of Cuu Long Pharmaceuticals JSC and Benovas Medical Equipment JSC to exchange information, reflect on the current situation, and propose solutions to the Ministry of Health.
Through discussions and proposals from Cuu Long Pharmaceuticals and Benovas, feasible solutions to promote the sustainable development of the pharmaceutical and medical device industries were opened up, helping to enhance the competitiveness of these businesses in the context of integration and growth within the healthcare sector.
Speaking at the session, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Lam emphasized the importance of ensuring product quality. He stated, “The Ministry of Health values the role of businesses in investing in the production of high-quality pharmaceutical products that meet international standards. The Ministry is ready to support businesses, including Cuu Long Pharmaceuticals and Benovas, in guiding, addressing obstacles, and assisting with investment, production, and business operations.”

During the session, Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Huong gave an overview of the history, development, and achievements of Cuu Long Pharmaceuticals and Benovas over the years. Established with the mission of connecting and improving community life through optimal health solutions, Cuu Long Pharmaceuticals and Benovas have become leading companies in Vietnam’s pharmaceutical and medical equipment sectors, not only in production but also in developing new products that meet market demands.
In the next part of the program, Mr. Nguyen Ba The – Business Development Director of Cuu Long Pharmaceuticals, and Mr. Nguyen Toan Thang – CEO of Benovas Medical Equipment JSC presented on the current situation, difficulties, and proposed solutions in the Pharmaceutical – Capsule – Medical Equipment sectors, and provided suggestions on how to resolve these issues.

After receiving the challenges, difficulties, and proposed solutions from Cuu Long Pharmaceuticals and Benovas in the Pharmaceutical, Capsule, and Medical Equipment sectors, the Ministry of Health’s departments shared their insights and committed to supporting the businesses in resolving these outstanding issues, helping them grow and easily access international collaboration opportunities. The Ministry also confirmed its ongoing support in the development process, not only in technical aspects but also in improving management processes, addressing legal issues, product standards, and market access.

The working session between the Ministry of Health and Cuu Long Pharmaceuticals, Benovas was concluded successfully, helping the companies identify suitable solutions to address the remaining issues. This marks an important step in promoting the development of Cuu Long Pharmaceuticals, Benovas, and the Vietnamese pharmaceutical industry as a whole, contributing to protecting public health and improving the quality of domestic pharmaceutical products and medical equipment. This is especially significant as Benovas Medical Equipment JSC is set to inaugurate its new production facility on March 11, 2025.
