On the morning of August 16, 2017, at the National Hospital Of Tropical Disease, Public awareness and support program for mosquito and insect diseases sponsored by Rocket brand of eliminating mosquito passing dengue fever and Zika virus took place.
Dengue fever is on the rise
Compared with every other year, dengue fever outbreak usually occurs around August and September and peaks in October and November. However, this year, the weather in the North changes erratic, no cold in March, early summer, along with that, people increase water storage which causes the mosquitoes to grow and develop strongly, which is the deep cause leading to dengue fever.
In 2017, dengue fever began to emerge from around May, and so far has risen very strongly. Recently, a report from the VTV24 News Center has revealed that there are 4200 dengue fever cases in Hanoi, of which 1 case died. No stopping there, there are 130 new cases every day. This is an alarming figure because dengue is a disease that can not be underestimated.
Get rid of dengue fever mosquitoes for public health!
Rocket together with the National Hospital Of Tropical Disease launched the program “Rocket Eliminating Dengue Fever Mosquito – Protecting Your Family Health” with initial funding of up to 24,000,000 VND and 600 products for the fever prevention at the hospital.
The program “Rocket Eliminating Dengue Fever Mosquito – Protecting Your Family Health” in the National Hospital Of Tropical Disease held by Rocket brand – FIT Consumer Company cooperating with other departments and organizations to communicate and support the community to prevent diseases related to mosquitoes and insects organized on August 16th, 2017 in order to:
- Handing out flyers about the dangers of mosquitoes, especially during the rainy season. From there raising awareness about the importance of preventing mosquito bites.
- Guiding the implementation of measures to prevent mosquitoes and dengue fever, Zika virus safely and effectively. Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Van Kinh also said that the best preventive measures now were killing mosquitoes and preventing mosquito bites, wearing long-sleeved clothes; using mosquito-net while sleeping, anti-mosquito repellant; killing the larvae; etc. In addition, for cases of blood transfusions and sexual intercourse, certain precautions should be taken as directed by health authorities.
With the desire to join hands with the community, FIT Consumer representatives hope Rocket will contribute to reducing the mosquito-borne diseases, especially Dengue Fever. Simultaneously, the company supported 600 Rocket mosquito and insects sprayers – which are recognized by HCMC Institute of Malaria, Ministry of Health on effectively killing Aedes mosquitoes passing Zika virus and dengue fever mosquitoes. In particular, Rocket has the effect of killing 6 kinds of harmful insects such as mosquitoes, cockroaches, ants, bugs, flies, etc.
