“MrInitiative” in F.I.T
Always getting scholarships in university, Pham Viet Dung – born in 1990, as one of the excellent students graduated from the Faculty of Business Administration – University of Hanoi with the highest score, spontaneously, he completed international certificate of ACCA accountant and CFA financial analyst certified level 1. Prior to F.I.T, Dung was audit team leader in E & Y, and built the audit strategy for many companies of different industries.
SinceJanuary 2015, in the position of investment specialist at F.I.T Investment JSC, Pham Viet Dung immediately demonstrated his creativity in a new environment.
After only 2 months, his first initiative was applied to activities of the West Food Factory, a subsidiary of JSC Agricultural Materials Engineering (TSC) specialized in the field of food processing exports, under FIT. With this initiative, he was voted to be excellent staff in March 2015.
According to MrDung, West Food was a relatively successful business even before FIT took over. However, longtime administration of the system and management based on thinking of old state had many weaknesses, and if not change, which will restrain growth of the company in the future.
“Since in charge of tracking West Food, I have had such this recognition, dug deeper into activities of the company, and I see it should initially apply number of such initiatives. First of all, 5S initiative brings thinking “dare to change” from culture innovation, changes old habits to upgrade production reached world standards, then creating a premise for innovation and renewal in the future. With application of the 5S System, West Food plant was redesigned in a more logical, secure and convenient way for employees, with the best assistance always being ready for production processes”, Viet Dung said.
In fact, as we all know, with this initiative, the overall change in market development, expansion of plant systems, cold storage, and the efforts of the whole system, West Food had strong growth in recent years, and today West Food is one of the major revenue sources of the TSC.
And, in charge of tracking West Food just less than one year later, since 2/2016, Pham Viet Dung had one more new initiative to improve the system of calculating the cost of some West Food products. With this initiative, West Food not only improves an effectiveness of cost management but also has additional basis for policy of production costs reduction, building a more competitive price, and supporting for sales activities more efficiently.
His strategy for a more competitive price and business performanceoptimizationalso launched on the basis of this idea. Although new cost calculating system remained difficulties in deployment, definitely, it initially workedfor production and business activities in West Food.

What is your perspective in work?
My view in work tends to reach the highest profession with high working efficiency, constantly self-improvement and never being self-satisfied. The world is always changing, if not move forward, it will always be setbacks.
What is your goal in careerpath?
I want to become a “Performance Director” 🙂 This is only title that I made for myself! That’s a person who has the ability and the right to raise a business from “womanizer” in the industry to become a market leader. I will bring reform measures, effective restructuring, and lead business to change and growth enormously.
And do you see thatisF.I.T working environment consistent with your perspectivesandobjective in work?
Prior to F.I.T, I had 2 years work at E & Y, which bringsmea lot of experience, but F.I.Tcreatesdesire to conquer. Leadership always opens opportunities for development, respects contribution and innovation initiatives, and it performs from F.I.T group’s core values. F.I.Tas a board with huge ambitionaiming to ocean was reflected clearly in the application of OGSM administration language.
Now you see,I find the appropriation between my objectives and views in work with the culture of F.I.T. And that is why I choose F.I.T.
And is there also motivation for your creativity?
Sure! At F.I.T, with culture of listening, acknowledging all initiatives, despite how much craziness they are, after pointing out the advantagesin accordance with the business, they are very well recognized. That was my motivation to continue research in order to contribute not only two but also many more innovations for F.I.T in the future.
