The WestFood Hau Giang Plant is equipped with a modern production line, supplying products to the world’s most demanding markets.
On September 26, WestFood Joint Stock Company for Export Food Processing held the inauguration ceremony of the WestFood Hau Giang Plant, located in the Song Hau Industrial Park, Chau Thanh Commune, Can Tho City.
Nguyen Thi Minh Nguyet, Chairwoman and CEO of WestFood, stated that the WestFood Hau Giang Plant was built to European standards, with a total investment of over VND 666 billion and a designed capacity of 30,000 tons of finished products per year.
The plant features advanced production lines, including a European IQF (Individual Quick Freezing) system, a three-tier automatic conveyor system, automatic fruit peeling and cutting machines, automated canned and cup fruit production lines, as well as cold and chilled storage facilities with a capacity of 3,000 tons.
The plant produces canned and packaged fruits and vegetables, IQF frozen fruits and vegetables, semi-dried fruits, and fresh fruits. WestFood products have reached some of the world’s most demanding markets, including the EU, the United States, Australia, New Zealand, Japan, South Korea, and China.
Speaking at the inauguration, Nguyen Van Hoa, Vice Chairman of the Can Tho City People’s Committee, said that Can Tho has abundant raw materials, creating favorable conditions for the development of the WestFood Hau Giang Plant. The plant also helps form a closed agricultural supply chain, providing sustainable market outlets for many local farmers in the raw material regions of surrounding provinces, while contributing to the added value of Vietnamese agricultural products.
