Westfood Hau Giang factory, invested by Westfood Processing Export Joint Stock Company (Westfood), will put Hau Giang in the list of provinces with European standard agricultural product processing factories for export.
The project is built on a total land area of 70,000m2 with the total initial investment cost estimated at VND 500 billion in Song Hau Industrial Park, Dong Phu Commune, Chau Thanh District, Hau Giang Province. This location is considered as the center of the raw material area of the Mekong Delta.
Design of Westfood Hau Giang factory project
The project is expected to complete construction in 18 months. After going into operation, the factory will meet the scale of 80,000 tons of raw materials/year and make use of the local raw material area. After completing this project, it will become the largest agricultural product processing factory in Hau Giang province.
As expected, Westfood Hau Giang Factory will have a total of 04 IQF lines and 04 canning lines, 01 coconut jelly line, 1 freeze-drying line and 1 juice line. The factory’s products all meet the strictest standards of Europe, America, Japan and Korea such as FSSC 22000, FDA, KOSHER, BRC, HALAL, FSMA. Not only that, capacity of Westfood Hau Giang factory is 4 times higher than existing Westfood factory in Can Tho and has a high degree of automation in all stages of operations, from production, data entry to logictis.
The investment in building a new European-standard factory will help Westfood create many new product lines with high quality standards in addition to existing products, in order to meet the increasing demands of international customers. Not only that, this is also a premise for Westfood to research and develop product lines in the domestic market.

In addition, the construction of Westfood Hau Giang factory is assessed to contribute to the development of the agricultural sector of the Mekong Delta province as well as completing the agricultural production value chain, converting low-yield plant varieties to high-yield, stable varieties, increasing income for farmers here.
