On September 9, 2023, F.I.T Group organized a large-scale OGSM training session for the entire group. The training was directly taught by the Group Chairman, Nguyen Van Sang, supported by his longstanding associates who understand the language of OGSM.
The training helped employees and partners of the group fully understand the core values and strengths of OGSM, as well as the methods of implementing OGSM in the current business strategies of the Group
The training was live-streamed in Hanoi and branch offices in Ho Chi Minh City, Vinh Long, and Nha Trang
OGSM consists of 4 elements: O: Objectives, G: Goals, S: Strategy, and M: Measurements. Originating from Japan, this renowned business planning method has been effectively applied by global giants like Coca-Cola, Honda, and P&G. From its early days, F.I.T Group adopted OGSM, making it a distinctive feature of the management philosophy, aiding the group’s success and growth.
Participating in the training were senior and middle-level managers of the Group and its subsidiaries. The training aimed to refresh knowledge and enhance skills in setting up OGSM, propelling the growth of the entire Group and each subsidiary during various phases and eras. Creating OGSM allows for identifying breakthrough strategies to achieve challenging objectives.
During the training, Chairman Nguyen Van Sang stated that OGSM is designed solely for objectives that propel an organization’s progress, thus it should be used for challenging and ambitious targets. “In 2024, every department and individual within the organization must set ambitious objectives and plan their work according to the OGSM model. These objectives must be related to the Group’s goal”, Chairman Nguyen Van Sang shared.

Following the Chairman’s training session, the instructors shared about the current business planning status at F.I.T; the Yin-Yang Structure: The power of “And”; and tools to build OGSM like SWOT, Five Forces, Salon Report, and PDCA. Through specific real-life examples, instructors helped employees imbibe the core essence of OGSM and how to tailor OGSM closely to the objectives of the Group and each subsidiary.
The training concluded with a traditional commitment to achieving objectives. This cultural trait of the Group showcases the determination and collective spirit of all leaders and staff, united for a shared goal: building F.I.T Group into a prosperous, multi-industry conglomerate with distinct, leading products and services that enhance the quality of life and become a hub for talent, earning societal respect.
