On the morning of June 29, 2024, the Executive Committee of the Trade Union at Cuu Long Pharmaceuticals Joint Stock Company successfully held its 2024 Workers’ Congress with 80 delegates representing 814 employees. The congress served as an opportunity for the management to listen to the workers’ opinions and desires, leading to adjustments and additions to benefits that promote enterprise development based on unity and consensus.
The meeting was attended by Ms. Nguyen Thi My Dung, Vice President of the Vinh Long Provincial Federation of Labor; Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang, Chairman of the company’s trade union, along with the leadership of Cuu Long Pharmaceuticals (DCL). The congress aimed to review the results of the 2023 resolution, set directions for 2024, and enhance direct democratic rights of the workers, fostering creativity within groups and individuals, and building consensus and unity toward stable and harmonious development goals, ensuring mutual benefits for both the enterprise and its employees.
At the congress, Deputy CEO in charge of Finance, Nghiem Xuan Truong, presented a report on the business performance of 2023 and the key objectives for 2024.

“2023 was a challenging year for Vietnamese pharmaceutical companies, including DCL. However, with vision from the F.I.T Group, superior development directions from long-term strategies, and effective management of short-term projects and distribution networks nationwide, DCL has maintained stable operations and employment, achieving revenue targets set at the 2023 Shareholders’ Meeting,” Mr. Truong shared.
On behalf of the company’s Trade Union Executive Committee, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang, Chairman of the Trade Union, reported on the supervision of labor policies and democratic regulations and organizing the Workers’ Congress within the corporation. In 2023, DCL earnestly implemented directives from the Party, laws, and the state; also fulfilling all terms of the collective labor agreement and labor regulations. Leaders of various units successfully met the planned targets for 2023. The Trade Union Committees effectively played a bridging role between employers and employees, protecting the legitimate rights of workers, and promoting unity in leadership, coordination, and implementation, ensuring harmony among the interests of the state, enterprise, and workers.
Additionally, the congress summarized the commendation work of 2023 and the situation of the Welfare Fund in 2023, planning for the 2024 Welfare Fund. In the spirit of democracy, workers openly exchanged opinions with the management about labor policies, working conditions, and contributed ideas for the development of the company in 2024 and beyond.

Ms. Nguyen Thi My Dung, Vice President of the Provincial Federation of Labor, commended the achievements of the executive committee and management. She emphasized the spirit of “cooperative development, ensuring the legal rights and interests between the workers and the employer, and deeply ingraining the tasks with unanimous support for building a sustainably developing corporation. Promoting the spirit of unity and democracy at the grassroots, innovating, being proactive, creative, and enhancing technology application; intensifying research initiatives to improve service quality.”
Ms. Nguyen Thi My Dung commended the achievements that the executive committee and the management of DCL have accomplished.
After over two hours of diligent, serious, and responsible work, the congress excellently completed all agenda items as per the management and higher-level trade union’s directives: continuing to enhance the role of the Trade Union as a communicator, extensively informing all employees about the culture and policies, benefits of the company. The successful Workers’ Congress also stands as a testament to the management’s readiness to listen and care for the employees’ lives throughout the nearly 50-year journey of Cuu Long Pharmaceuticals’ growth and development.
