On the morning of May 20, 2023, the Base Trade Union (BTU) of Cuu Long Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company (DCL) solemnly organized the XIII Congress for the term 2023-2028.
Attending the Congress were Mr. Huynh Ba Long – Chairman of the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation; Mr. Truong Hai Bang – Party Secretary; Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang – Chairman of the Base Trade Union; Mr. Nguyen Trong Duc, Mr. Nghiem Xuan Truong – Deputy CEOs of Cuu Long Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company, along with more than 91 base trade union members of Cuu Long Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company.
The Congress took place in the large hall of Cuu Long Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company.
The Congress evaluated the trade union activities in the term 2017-2022 (extended to 2023), with prominent results in the work of caring for, and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of members and workers; promoting propaganda activities of the Party’s policies and directions, the State’s laws, and the higher trade union; motivating members to perform well in the patriotic emulation movements; working productively, creatively, actively, and effectively… contributing to building the Trade Union organization, building the Party Committee, and developing the company.
Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Huynh Ba Long recognized and praised the achievements that the Cuu Long Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company base trade union has achieved over the past years, “The Cuu Long Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company Trade Union has well fulfilled the tasks assigned by the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation. I hope that the Cuu Long Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company Union will continue to strive to promote the bright spots achieved in the past term, worthy of the role of being a bridge between workers and employers.”

Taking note of the contributions of Mr. Huynh Ba Long, the Cuu Long Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company base trade union determined the main goal of the 2023-2028 term is to ensure the legitimate and rightful interests of members and workers (M&Ws). At the same time, participate in coordinating the implementation of the Basic Democratic Regulation; promoting collective bargaining, collective labor agreement signing; Propagating for members and workers to properly implement the Party’s policies, the State’s legal policies, the Company’s rules and regulations; Building harmonious labor relations in the business, enhancing the application of information technology in trade union activities.
In the democratic spirit with nearly 4 hours of lively and urgent work, the members attending the Congress unanimously agreed to elect 09 representative faces, representatives of the trade union teams of the Business Block, Administration and Human Resources, Technical, Pharmaceutical Factory, Capsule Factory and Vikimco Factory to participate in the XIII BTU Executive Committee for the term 2023-2028. Accordingly, Mr. Nguyen Van Hoang was trusted to be re-elected as the Chairman of the BTU, and Mr. Huynh Van Thien continued to hold the position of Deputy Chairman of the Cuu Long Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company BTU.

Recognizing that the trade union is an organization to protect rights and represent the voice of workers, in the new term, the Cuu Long Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company base trade union will continue to strengthen inspection and supervision of the implementation of state policies and regulations, internal rules, regulations of the agency to ensure the effective implementation of policies for officials and members; continue to strongly implement welfare programs to bring practical benefits to members; always listen to the voice, thoughts, and wishes of members, while identifying that all trade union activities must originate from the needs and aim to solve the urgent problems that members need.
With the right policies and objectives, always honoring and placing workers at the center of all decisions, the Cuu Long Pharmaceutical Joint Stock Company trade union has won the complete trust and affection of the base union members. It serves as the extended arm of the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation and the company’s Board of Directors in the mission to realize the vision of becoming the highest-rated Vietnamese pharmaceutical company by patients, partners, and employees through innovative products, accessible services, and the best care.
